Meet the Author
A decade ago, Eleanor Garrell Berger was a hesitant adventurer who decided to try something new. Reluctant and wary, she gave rambling a try. She has been following footpaths ever since. Now, with more than 1,000 miles under her soles, walking both at home and abroad (mostly in Great Britain), this tenderfoot shares her passion and unique perspective with readers.
The author is an essayist whose personal commentaries have been published in anthologies and magazines, and broadcast on regional public radio stations. She lives with her walking companions—one human, one canine—in northern New York. More about the author
